Product Overview
The WorldSID 50th Percentile Male is an advanced next-generation side impact dummy developed to harmonize side impact test standards.
This dummy is standardized under ISO 15830 Version C, Parts 1–4: 2022. It represents the average physique of an adult male and reproduces human body behavior under side impact conditions through chest and abdominal designs that closely reflect the structure of the human body.
Main Applications / Applicable Tests
- Side impact testing
-
Vehicle side impact testing using a moving deformable barrier (MDB)
- Pole side impact testing
-
Evaluation of side impacts against narrow structures such as utility poles
Product Features
- Symmetrical Design
-
By reconfiguring components, a single dummy can be used for side impact testing on either the driver side or passenger side, regardless of right-hand-drive or left-hand-drive vehicle configuration.
- Omnidirectional Biofidelity
-
Reproduces complex lateral occupant behavior that has been difficult to evaluate with conventional dummies.
Applicable Standards
- (USA)FMVSS 214 (EU) UN ECE R95
- Assessment programs in various countries, including JNCAP
Options / Customization
- Internal Wiring Customization
-
Cable harnesses can be optimized according to specific sensor configurations.
- High-Capacity DAS (Data Acquisition System)
-
An integrated DAS capable of collectively processing multi-point measurement data from more than 100 channels inside the dummy.
