
What is SPIRAL Track®
SPIRAL Track® is a mechanical measuring device that keeps non-linearity within 1% error. It features an advanced zero-backlash mechanism that virtually eliminates the time-response delay typically seen in conventional mechanical measuring devices.
The device consists of four to six sleeve-shaped cylinders with spiral grooves. Regardless of vertical movement at the upper or lower sections of each sleeve, the displacement of all cylinders can be measured using angle sensors.
By changing the cylinder stroke and the number of cylinders, SPIRAL Track® can be incorporated into spaces with a wide range of structural configurations.
The lower section incorporates three sets of rotary displacement transducers for the x, y, and z axes. This enables accurate displacement measurement under oblique input through axial rotation.
